Brass Tee-Jet Cap for Orifice from Bane-Clene®
The Tee-Jet Cap is the threaded brass retaining cap that holds the spray orifice and filter screen inside the Tee-Jet body on Bane-Clene® carpet and upholstery cleaning tools. It is a wear item. Every time you pull a jet to clear a clogged orifice or change a worn tip, the cap comes off and goes back on, and over enough cycles the threads gall, the hex rounds off, or the seat stops pulling square against the body. When that happens the jet weeps, spray pattern goes uneven, and you lose pressure at the tool. Keeping spare caps on the truck is cheaper than losing a job to a streaking wand.
Features and Benefits:
- Solid brass construction for corrosion resistance in hot, high-pH detergent solution.
- Brass-on-brass fitment with the jet body avoids the dissimilar-metal corrosion you get from mixed-material substitutes.
- Retains both the orifice and the screen, so one part restores a full jet rebuild.
- Direct replacement, no modification or re-tapping required.
- Genuine Bane-Clene® service part.
Service Notes:
- Hand-tighten, then snug with a wrench. Do not overtighten. Brass threads strip easily and the cap only needs to seat the orifice square.
- Inspect the screen behind the cap every time it is off. A clogged screen starves the jet and mimics a bad pump.
- Replace the cap any time the hex is rounded, the threads drag, or the jet weeps after the orifice has been cleaned.
