How To Clean Cranberry Juice From A Carpet
If you have spilled cranberry juice on your carpets or upholstery, clean the mess up as soon as possible. This will reduce the risk of a bad stain. As with regular juice stains, first, blot up as much of the surface spill with paper towels or even an old clean towel.
Do not rub as this will push the juice further into the fibers. Dab quickly and lightly to soak up the excess moisture. Then proceed with one of the below cleaning solutions.

Home Remedy For Cleaning Up Cranberry Juice
If you do not have any carpet care products in your home, don’t despair. You can use the cleaning method below, to get rid of juice stains on carpets, including cranberry juice.
Please take note that the results may not be as impressive as with professional carpet cleaning chemicals. But if you act quickly this home remedy should do a good job of cleaning up a fresh cranberry juice spill.
You will need the following:
- A mixing bowl
- A spray bottle
- 2 old, clean white towels
- Mild liquid dish soap (must be bleach-free)
- Warm water
Step 1
Combine a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid soap with 2 cups of warm water in the mixing bowl. Do not use very hot water. Add this mild soapy solution to the spray bottle. Spray it onto the affected area of the carpet.
Step 2
Blot it up with one of the old towels, and keep repeating the spraying and blotting until the spill patch has been cleaned. Once the soapy solution has been used, refill the spray bottle with clean tap water, and spray the area again, ensuring that you saturate it enough.
Step 3
Blot all the water up with the other old towel. This step removes the remaining traces of soap from your carpet. Repeat this last step a few times if necessary. You must remove all the soap residue. Leave the carpet to air dry.
You can also use this cleaning method to remove a grape juice stain from your carpet.
